Aide Memoire signed between UGC and Asian Development Bank

Aide Memoire was signed between UGC, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Export-Import Bank of Korea and Bangladesh High Park Tech Authority on 30 January 2018 at UGC Bhaban. The agreement was signed when a-six member ADB delegation led by Professor Kyoung Y. Bae, Ph.D, Sangmyung University, Korea called on Professor Abdul Mannan, Chairman, University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh. UGC Secretary Dr. Md. Khaled signed the agreement on behalf of UGC.

The objectives of the MoU were to confirm the work scope with related stakeholders and to initiate interviews and field studies in IT Parks and the related universities in Bangladesh. The ultimate goal of this Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP) service is to assist the Government of Bangladesh (“GoB”) to develop business ecosystem in the IT Park, academic-industry linkage for start-up support and develop HRD of IT Engineers.

Shah Nowaz Ali, Member, UGC, Ryotaro Hayashi, Social Sector Specialist, Human and Social Development Division, South Asia Department, ADB, Seok Yong (“SY”) Yoon, Principal Public management Specialist, ADB, Ahn Mi Seon, KSP Project Officer, EDCF Operations Services & Evaluations, Korea Eximbank, Eom Sora, Senior KSP Specialist, EDCF Operations Services & Evaluation Department, among others were present during the meeting.
