Entrance test of Masters and PhD programme of South Asian University (SAU) held

The Entrance test of Masters and Ph.D programme of South Asian University was held on 15 April 2018 under the supervision of University Grants Commission of Bangladesh at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka. The entrance test was held simultaneously throughout the SAARC region at the same time and date.

University Grants Commission of Bangladesh conducted the admission test. Professor Abdul Mannan, Chairman, UGC, Dr. Md. Khaled, Secretary, UGC, Dr. Md. Fakhrul Islam, Joint-Secretary, UGC, Dr. Pankaj Jaim, Associate Professor, Department of Mathematics, South Asian University, New Delhi, India and Md. Shahin Siraj, PS to the Chairman (Deputy Secretary), UGC among others visited the examination center. About 200 Bangladeshi students participated in the examination for the admission into Economics, Sociology, Biotechnology, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, International Relations, and Legal Studies. The students, who will be qualified in the examination and get into admited, will receive twenty five thousand Rupees for PhD and fifteen thousand for Masters programme per month as scholarship.

It may be mentioned that, South Asian University is an international university established by the Governments of the eight member nations of the South Asian Association for Regional Co-operation (SAARC). SAU started its activities from the year of 2010. The university currently functions from New Delhi, India.
