 Interactive meeting on System Approach for Better Education Results in Tertiary Education  held at UGC

An interactive discussion meeting on ‘System Approach for Better Education Results in Tertiary Education(SABER-TE)’ was held at UGC Auditorium today(16 July 2018). Professor Dr. Mohammad Yousuf Ali Mollah, Member, University Grants Commission of Bangladesh presided over the meeting. Dr. Koen Geven, Education Specialist, Global Engagement and Knowledge Education, World Bank Group (Education), Washington DC, USA presented the keynote paper on the issue. The presentation was followed by an open discussion on the topic.

Various aspects of higher education including  vision, regulatory framework, quality assonance, governance, finance, enrolment,  teaching, , learning, research, admission test,  teachers’ training,  publication and relevance of tertiary education came up for the open discussion. A good number of Vice-Chancellors and Pro Vice-Chancellors of the country took part in the discussion.

Professor Dr. Md. Akhter Hossain, Member, UGC, Vice-Chancellors, Pro Vice-Chancellors from public and private universities, Dr. Md. Khaled, Secretary, UGC, Dr. Gauranga Chandra Mohanta ndc, Project Pirector (Additional Secretary), Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP), Dr.Md. Mokhlesur Rahman, Senior Operations Officer, World Bank, Dhaka, Director and Additional Directors from UGC and high officials from HEQEP and BdREN among others, were present in the meeting.
