King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi wants to provide scholarship to Bangladeshi students

King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), Thailand is willing to provide scholarship to Bangladeshi students in Masters and Ph.D programme in areas of Engineering, Information Technology, Bio-technology and Business Studies. The KMUTT, in this regard, wants to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh for further progress of the move.

The interest was shown when a-three member KMUTT delegation led by Dr. Budsakayt  Intarapasan, Assistant to the President for Student Development, KMUTT called on UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan at the latter’s office today (15 November 2017). Professor Dr. Dil Afroza Begum, Member, UGC and Dr. Md. Khaled, Secretary, UGC among others, were present during the meeting. Mrs. Kunyakamol Khiewvarn, Academic Services Officer, Admissions and Recruitment Office, KMUTT assisted Budsakayt Intarapasan during the call on.

UGC Chairman termed the proposal by the delegation as positive and assured the delegation of extending necessary cooperation from on behalf of University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh. He also observed that UGC always believes in internationalization of higher education and for this, the Commission has been relentlessly working.
